Concept and Host Cities
The event Expresión en Corto takes place in the colonial cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, Gto., with participants from Mexico and abroad. Activities include film presentations, workshops, talks, roundtable discussions and work meetings by and with important figures in the Mexican and international film industries, including actors and actresses, directors, producers and screenwriters.
HOST CITIES
Expresión en Corto is held in Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, two of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Guanajuato means history, culture, architectural gems and hospitable people. It is the capital city of the state of the same name, shining from the heart of Mexico.
The state's central location and its dedication towards progress have led to the construction of excellent highways and the Guanajuato International Airport, connecting it to the rest of the world.
Our fundamental objective
Our fundamental objective is to present the visions of a new generation of short film, video and documentary artists, in order to encourage them, promote their development and help connect them to production and distribution companies and personalities in the film industry, making their road to success, not only as filmmakers but as creative agents in all types of multimedia expression, just a little bit smoother.
Expresión en Corto, a completely free event, should not be missed by anyone who is interested in seeing some of the best creative work anywhere, done by young artists as well as by well-known figures in the entertainment industry.
This is why Expresión en Corto , the name by which the event is commonly known, has become the most popular film event in the history of Mexico.
Expresión en Corto is a project that unites the efforts and enthusiasm of a small group of passionate film lovers, who work towards the development of new generations of artists, for the maturation of a true Mexican movie industry; one that is thoroughly Mexican, which represents our past and our future, our traditions and our artistic visions; in sum, an industry which brings all the different facets of our reality to the big screen, with the motto More movies please !
